Job Description

As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing project drawings, specifications, and tender documents. You will set up projects using existing templates and prebuilds in our job management system and take-off software.

You will perform take-offs, calculate material quantities, and estimate labor costs based on project scope, utilizing our take-off software and job management system. You will issue pricing requests to suppliers/sub-contractors for lighting packages, switchboard packages, and specialty trades.

You will prepare and submit tender proposals to our current estimator for review. You will identify risks and opportunities within the project and provide value engineering suggestions where applicable.

Maintain and update estimating databases and systems to ensure accurate cost information is readily available. Provide support to the project delivery team during construction to ensure consistency between the estimate and actual costs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years related experience
  • simPRO Job Management System and/or Groundplan Take-off software experience
  • Prior experience with an Australian company, preferably an Electrical/Plumbing/HVAC company
  • Prior experience in the electrical trade either in the field or engineering background
  • Prior experience with Auto-cad
  • Prior experience with Monday.com
  • AU Construction Experience
  • Electrical Engineering Experience
