Job Summary

A Site Reliability Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our infrastructure and applications. The ideal candidate will have domain knowledge in card payments, experience with distributed systems and microservices, and strong initiative, communication, and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage pipeline build and maintenance according to client tooling and standards.
  • Participate in the software development lifecycle to ensure solutions meet availability, performance, security, and maintainability standards.
  • Monitor system metrics and health, analyze reports to inform improvement decisions.
  • Support production and in-house systems, participate in on-call support to ensure seamless operations.
  • Lead incident management, conduct root cause analysis, and perform post-incident reviews to optimize processes.
  • Implement system security and resiliency measures to safeguard data and prevent downtime.
  • Improve processes within the program to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor ISO 8583 financial transaction messages in a 4-party payment model to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with software engineers, DevOps, and product teams to maintain robust infrastructure and automation for critical applications.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Mandatory card payment domain knowledge to understand industry-specific challenges.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) to automate testing and deployment.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, PCF) to leverage scalable and secure infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL & SQL databases (MongoDB, Oracle, Postgres) to design efficient data storage solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, or similar programming languages to develop reliable applications.
  • Understanding of SLOs and SLAs to ensure service level agreements are met.
