Collaboration Specialist Role

The Collaboration Specialist is accountable for configuring and optimizing SharePoint Online to support the organization's collaboration, data management, and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and customize SharePoint Online sites, subsites, lists, libraries, and metadata to meet business requirements.
  • Develop page layouts, web parts, and workflows to automate and streamline business processes.
  • Set up secure and user-friendly document libraries, team sites, and communication sites to facilitate information sharing and collaboration.
  • Implement and manage user permissions, access levels, and content governance to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Integrate Power Automate and Power Apps to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and configure solutions that meet their needs.
  • Support AI-enabled document retrieval and provide technical guidance on its application.
  • Maintain governance standards to ensure consistent structure and usability across the organization.
Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in configuring and managing SharePoint Online.
  • Strong knowledge of site structure, lists, libraries, and permissions to ensure effective configuration.
  • Experience with setting up SharePoint applications and integrating them with other Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, or JavaScript for customization and development.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on usability and governance to maintain high-quality solutions.
