Insurance Specialist Job Description

The role of an Insurance Specialist is to process and manage insurance policy applications, endorsements, renewals, certificates, and cancellations. This requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Policy Processing: Process new insurance policy applications, ensuring all required information and documentation are complete and accurate.
  • Policy Endorsements, Renewals, Cancellations: Handle endorsements, renewals, and cancellations promptly.
  • Compliance: Review policy applications for compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Documentation Management
  • Maintain accurate and organized client files and policy records.
  • Ensure all policy documentation is properly scanned, filed, and stored.
  • Generate and distribute policy documents to clients and relevant parties.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in commercial property and casualty insurance processing is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with insurance software such as Applied Epic, AMS 360, EZ Lynx and CRM systems.
