Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Electrical Estimator, responsible for accurately performing takeoffs and costing for projects involving electrical lighting controls and reflected ceiling plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize Planswift or Bluebeam to perform takeoffs and cost estimates
  • Review and interpret architectural and electrical drawings, including reflected ceiling plans
  • Identify and quantify lighting fixtures and controls from project documents
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports using Microsoft Excel
  • Collaborate with the project team to verify and refine estimates
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with Planswift or Bluebeam is essential
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is necessary
  • A background in architectural and electrical projects is required
  • Experience in electrical lighting controls and reflected ceiling plans is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of lighting fixtures and controls for takeoffs is crucial
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent spoken and written English skills are essential
  • Prior costing/estimating experience is an asset
