Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

The role of the Financial Operations Specialist is a pivotal position that supports various financial functions, including general accounting, financial reporting, and operational support across different business units.

Responsibilities:
  • Process journal entries and ensure proper documentation accuracy.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and take corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies through ongoing adherence.
  • Develop and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports for strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with management to prepare budgets and forecasts for projects, divisions, and units.
  • Track budget performance versus actual results, investigate variances, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Operational Support:
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather relevant financial data and insights.
  • Assist in refining and documenting financial processes and internal controls to ensure efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to align with financial objectives and enhance overall performance.
  • Foster effective communication and coordination among teams to achieve common goals.
Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements and tax compliance.
  • Identify potential financial risks and escalate them for timely resolution and mitigation.
  • Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries from auditors.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Business Administration required.
  • CA or CPA qualification is preferred for advanced knowledge.
  • Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation is essential.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools is necessary for success.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy are crucial for this role.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are vital for collaboration across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software is expected.
