Senior Accountant Position Overview

The Senior Accountant is a key member of our finance team, responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial information. This role involves preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries, as well as summarizing financial status by collecting and analyzing data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transaction Recording and Verification: Accurately record, verify, consolidate, and enter transactions into our financial system.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and present detailed financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records, ensuring timely reconciliation and resolution of any discrepancies.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct regular financial analysis and prepare insightful reports to inform business decisions.
  • Close Process and Compliance: Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial tasks.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or related field.
  • Experience: More than seven years of experience in finance or accounting, with extensive experience in US non-profit accounting, including reporting and compliance (tax).
  • Certifications and Knowledge: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
