Senior Financial Planning and Reporting Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Financial Planning and Reporting Specialist to lead critical initiatives across financial planning, business partnership, and process innovation.

This role requires a strong expertise in profit and loss management, forecasting, and financial modeling, as well as experience with Hyperion Financial Management, SmartView, and Oracle Planning EPM.

The successful candidate will have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and be able to summarize complex monthly and quarterly results into clear insights and actionable recommendations.

They will also have experience using AI-based tools, process automation platforms, and data visualization software.

As a key partner to Finance leaders, the Senior Financial Planning and Reporting Specialist will influence strategic decision-making, drive financial performance, and champion digital innovation within the finance organization.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and substantial experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) or financial analysis.

They will also possess a strong analytical mindset and the ability to turn financial data into strategic recommendations, as well as effective communication skills to engage non-financial stakeholders.

The Senior Financial Planning and Reporting Specialist will work independently in a remote environment, managing deliverables and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

They will also be responsible for building financial models, developing 'what-if' scenarios, and performing risk analyses to inform key initiatives.

The successful candidate will be a thought leader for adopting new technologies to improve FP&A capability and agility, and will serve as a key partner to senior Finance and Business leaders.

Responsibilities include leading financial reporting and analysis across critical business areas, managing the monthly forecast and annual budget cycles, and summarizing complex monthly and quarterly results into clear insights and actionable recommendations.

Additional responsibilities include applying a digital-first approach to automate and streamline recurring FP&A processes, partnering closely with Finance leadership to shape and support financial strategies, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and creating executive dashboards to support business performance reviews.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Substantial experience in FP&A or financial analysis
  • Strong expertise in P&L management, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management, SmartView, and Oracle Planning EPM
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to turn financial data into strategic recommendations
  • Effective communicator with ability to engage non-financial stakeholders
