Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced financial professional to join our team and take on the role of a senior accountant. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting, with a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Recordkeeping
    • Maintain accurate general ledger entries, reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
    • Manage bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare detailed financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
    • Assist in creating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Tax Preparation and Compliance
    • Assist in tax return preparation by organizing financial data and preparing documentation for external accountants.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws, filing necessary forms.
  • Accounts Management
    • Oversee accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely billing and collections.
    • Monitor and manage payroll, expense reimbursements, and other financial obligations.
  • Auditing and Internal Controls
    • Assist in auditing processes by providing accurate financial data and supporting documents.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Support the preparation of company budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
    • Provide analysis and insights to management regarding financial performance and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably in a senior or accountant-level role.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate financial records and handle complex data analysis.
  • Knowledge of GAAP: Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant financial regulations.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation is a plus.
  • QBO proadvisor.
