Prior authorization and scheduling are critical components of patient care in endocrinology practices.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Verify insurance coverage for medications, tests, and procedures to facilitate seamless prior authorization processes.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently, coordinating with the Endocrinology team to minimize delays.
  • Manage a high volume of calls while maintaining professionalism, communicating clearly with patients about authorizations, scheduling, and preparation requirements.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records and insurance portals.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in insurance verification, prior authorizations, and/or medical scheduling.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance processes, benefits verification, and prior authorization workflows.
  • Excellent spoken English skills, essential for effective patient communication.
  • Able to handle fast-paced environments and manage multiple tasks effectively, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in an Endocrinology or specialty care setting is highly valued.
