Business Intelligence Leader Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct customer discovery meetings to determine reporting requirements, leveraging your expertise in data analysis and business acumen.
  • Understand and work with customers on Power BI Licensing, including the limits and advantages of each platform.
  • Create well-performing star schema data models for use with Power BI, incorporating proper calculated columns and measures.
  • Develop comprehensive Power BI solutions for customers, including importing data from multiple sources, building reports and dashboards, and creating appropriate data elements using DAX and source queries.
  • Guide customers through deploying Power BI solutions to the Power BI service (Gateways, DirectQuery, DataFlows, Data Updates), ensuring seamless integration and adoption.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience managing/leading a team, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • 8+ years working with data and business intelligence solutions on the Microsoft tool stack for Business Intelligence (SSRS, Power BI, or PowerPivot (Excel) or PerformancePoint), or other vendor Business Intelligence tools (Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Qlik, SAP).
  • Working knowledge of TSQL, data modeling, and reporting using Power BI or other Microsoft tools.
  • Experience creating complete Power BI report solutions based on business questions, including linked content, drilldowns, and nested parameters.
  • Dynamic measure designs using advanced DAX techniques.
  • Knowledge of data mashups and transformations using Power Query/M language.
  • Utilize Databricks platform to develop, implement, and optimize data pipelines and workflows.
  • Ability to report visual choices and visual interactions.
  • Design, develop, and implement user interfaces to ensure ease of use and minimal knowledge required by functional teams.
  • Ability to gather requirements and conduct focus groups to determine processes needed to assist and grow the business.

Additional Preferred Experience:

  • Power BI tenant and workspace management to support development, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience with analytics and custom visualizations for Power BI using Python, R.
  • Advanced SQL, including some query tuning.
  • Experience identifying data quality.
  • Experience deploying Power BI solutions to the Power BI Report Server (on-premises).
  • Experience deploying Power BI solutions using Power BI Embedded.
  • Deploying cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL DB.
