This role will involve working on complex technical issues, providing top-notch customer service, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve critical technical issues related to Linux-based infrastructure and applications, including but not limited to: Ubuntu, kernel, Ceph, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and Docker/LXC/LXD.
  • Maintain close relationships with Field, Support, and product engineering teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in upstream communities to stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in the industry.
  • Develop and implement bug fixes, backport patches, and work with upstream developers for inclusion.
  • Review and provide feedback on code produced by other engineers to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Exercise good judgment in technical methods and techniques, prioritizing work effectively against established priorities.
  • Contribute to team discussions to improve processes, tools, and documentation, driving continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Exceptional academic track record, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Background in Linux and open-source software, with experience in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, C, or C++ on Linux.
  • Strong passion for learning unfamiliar technologies and diving into complex issues to resolve them.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 10% of work time for team meetings, events, and conferences.
