Job Summary

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate financial records, prepare reports and maintain compliance with accounting standards, company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage general ledgers, update records and verify transactions for accuracy.
  • Assist with ad hoc & monthly reporting, preparation and analysis of financial data.
  • Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger, investigate discrepancies and report findings.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, analyze financial trends and identify opportunities for cost control.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, verify entries and report on payables and receivables.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Verify payables entries to the correct subsidiary, department and location.
  • Report on payables and receivables, assist AP and AR departments in reporting and complete days outstanding calculations.
Reconciliations and Analysis:
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and report findings.
  • Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for cost control.
  • Project (costs) accounting and manage AP team's credit card processing.
Compliance and Audit Support:
  • Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for regulatory reporting.
Other Duties:
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requested by management.
  • Assist with implementation and policing of company policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • CPA certification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in general accounting or a related field.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Australian standards, NZ and US additional.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Oracle NetSuite preferred) and MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
