Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This is a critical role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organisation's IT infrastructure. This includes Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Defender, and Purview.

The engineer will support the IT Infrastructure Lead in ensuring enterprise IT systems' reliability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Configure Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) for identity and access management.
  • Deploy and optimise Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and security.
  • Support cloud infrastructure within Azure, including virtual machines, networking, and security configurations.
  • Implement Microsoft Defender for endpoint, identity, and cloud security.
  • Work with Microsoft Purview to ensure compliance, data governance, and security policies.
  • Assist in implementing security best practices, vulnerability management, and patching strategies.
  • Provide technical support for escalated infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security through proactive monitoring tools.
  • Ensure regular backups and disaster recovery plans are in place and tested.
  • Automate IT processes using PowerShell, Azure Automation, and other scripting tools.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ARM templates, or similar.
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimisation of IT infrastructure and cloud resources.
Qualifications

Required Skills

  • A minimum of three years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, focusing on Microsoft technologies.
