Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at Subic Drydock Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical activities of our production department, ensuring the efficient use of resources, and maintaining high standards of work.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical direction and guidance to Mechanical Group personnel.
  2. Prepare departmental reports and schedules, and assist in maintaining job status and departmental records.
  3. Supervise the performance of marine mechanics and crew boat engineers, and oversee the repair and overhaul of main propulsion machinery and auxiliary equipment.
  4. Ensure the supervision of Mechanical Supervisors in maintaining high standards of work in carrying out maintenance, mechanical, and repair work on plant and equipment.
  5. Carry out preventative maintenance activities as required.
  6. Ensure the proper and efficient use of all equipment and tools in the workshop.
  7. Complete an end-of-shift report and carry out effective communication and handover exchange with the incoming shift fitter.
  8. Work safely at all times, observe all quality and housekeeping policies, and keep own work area clean and hygienic.
  9. Prepare performance ratings, initiate disciplinary or commendatory actions, and recommend promotions, transfers, etc.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical operations, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
