Medical Records Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking a diligent and organized professional to fill the role of Medical Records Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing sensitive documents, coordinating with external providers, and supporting operational tasks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for requesting medical records from healthcare providers, hospitals, and custodians, drafting and sending formal requests, authorizations, and necessary forms, following up via email, fax, and phone to ensure timely retrieval, and coordinating billing and invoicing with the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate and detailed records of all outstanding requests and escalate issues as needed.
  • Review and organize incoming records for accuracy and compliance, ensuring that all necessary information is captured and stored securely.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience working with confidential data portals, invoices, and reporting tools, with a strong understanding of data management principles.
  • Familiarity with record retrieval processes and document management, with a focus on maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
