Business Systems Analyst Role

Job Summary

The primary objective of this role is to provide expert support for the financial systems, ensuring their configuration, maintenance, and enhancement meet the evolving business needs. This involves liaising with cross-functional teams, such as Finance and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Administration & Support
    • Serve as the subject matter expert and administer NetSuite on a day-to-day basis.
    • Manage user roles, permissions, workflows, saved searches, dashboards, and reporting to ensure seamless system operation.
    • Provide prompt resolution to system issues affecting Finance and business users.
  • Process Optimization & Automation
    • Analyze business processes across various departments to identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop recommendations and implement system enhancements, automation, and integrations to minimize manual effort.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deploy scalable workflows, custom scripts, and controls.
  • Implementation & Projects
    • Support system upgrades, module implementations, and third-party integrations (e.g., CRM, billing platforms, payment gateways).
    • Work in partnership with external consultants and vendors when necessary.
    • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Data Management & Reporting
    • Maintain accuracy and consistency of financial and operational data across NetSuite and integrated systems.
    • Develop and maintain saved searches, KPIs, and custom reports to support informed decision-making.
    • Contribute to monthly/quarterly close activities by leveraging system-driven reconciliations and reporting.
    • Document system configurations, workflows, and standard operating procedures to enhance transparency and accountability.
    • Implement measures to safeguard data integrity and system security.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of hands-on experience with NetSuite administration and configuration.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles (GL, AR, AP, billing, revenue recognition).
  • Experience with SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteAnalytics, SuiteBilling, and system integrations is highly desirable.
  • Able to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams.
