Structural Design Specialist Role

The position of Senior Lead Structural Design Specialist is a crucial part of our team. This individual will oversee the creation and execution of high-quality structural models, setting modeling standards, ensuring accuracy and quality, and helping to execute project plans.

Main Responsibilities
  • Model Development:
    • Create detailed structural drawings and Revit models that meet our quality standards.
    • Conduct thorough quality checks on own work and collaborate with team members.
    • Develop complex geometry and detailed models that meet client requirements.
  • Sprint Plan Execution:
    • Create and communicate clear project plans to stakeholders.
    • Understand and document tasks to complete deliverables and estimate time required.
    • Commit and execute the plan, adjusting as needed to meet deadlines and priorities.
  • Client Management:
    • Proactively communicate with clients and coordinate with external teams.
    • Collaborate and coordinate design changes and model challenges.
    • Identify areas for improvement and provide options for technical leads.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay up-to-date with industry developments through continuing education opportunities.
    • Participate in knowledge-sharing groups, update best practices, and improve workflows.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree preferred; Associates or combined education and experience.
    • Autodesk Certified Professional: Revit for Structural Design.
    • At least 3 years of full-time work experience in structural design.
    • Experience working on mid-sized structural projects.
    • Minimum 3 years of Revit Experience.
    • Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

This role requires a strong understanding of structural design principles and Revit software. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality models and working effectively in an autonomous environment.
