Job Overview

  • This role plays a crucial part in overseeing, refining and setting up financial operations for an e-commerce brand.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Financial Insights & Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Monitor key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts; provide variance analysis and recommendations for corrective actions to optimize financial performance.
  • Comprehensive Reports & Analysis: Create, automate, and enhance detailed financial reports across functions to support informed decision-making.
  • Guidance & Recommendations: Deliver regular updates and strategic guidance based on financial records and analytical reports to ensure organizational financial health, maximize profitability, and meet business objectives.

Accounting Management:

  • General Ledger Oversight: Manage daily accounting activities, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Transaction Processing: Handle accounts payable and receivable with accuracy and timeliness to ensure seamless transaction processing.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Auditing: Coordinate with external auditors and tax experts to guarantee adherence to all financial regulations and standards.
  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate effective communication and coordination of financial tasks.

Process Enhancement:

  • System Utilization & Optimization: Leverage and improve accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, ERP platforms) and Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets for efficient data analysis and reporting.
  • Workflow Streamlining: Identify, document, and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in financial operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Educational Background & Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Certified Public Accountant (CPA), PRC Board Passer.
  • Professional Experience: 5+ years in accounting, financial analysis, AR/AP, month-end reconciliation, and 3+ years creating financial reports, ideally in e-commerce or remote/digital businesses.
  • Skills & Expertise: Strong knowledge of US GAAP, proficiency in financial data interpretation and reporting, experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with cloud-based ERP systems and financial modeling tools.
