We seek a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable (AR/AP) Specialist to manage financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.

This role involves processing vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals before payment; verifying invoice details, matching invoices with purchase orders, resolving discrepancies; preparing and processing payments via check, ACH, and wire transfers; maintaining accurate records of all AP transactions and updating the general ledger.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process vendor invoices and ensure accuracy and proper approvals before payment.

  2. Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, and wire transfers.

  3. Maintain accurate records of all AP transactions and update the general ledger.

  4. Communicate with vendors to address billing discrepancies and confirm payment schedules.

  5. Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve outstanding balances with vendors.

  6. Generate and send customer invoices and monitor customer accounts for overdue payments.

  7. Apply customer payments and reconcile discrepancies.

  8. Maintain organized records of all receivables.

  9. Work with customers to resolve billing issues and negotiate payment arrangements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • 2-4 years of experience in AR/AP or general accounting.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
