About the Role

The Manager is responsible for leading a team to achieve business success and has authority over the product backlog. They identify customer needs, prioritize features, and develop the product vision and roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the actual work that will be accomplished and the features that will be built within each release.
  • Plan the overall capacity for the release, objectively measuring each feature to ensure they are always delivering the most value to customers.
  • Groom existing product backlog with stakeholders.
  • Define, maintain, and communicate the product roadmap.
  • Determine customer needs and desires by specifying research needed to obtain information.
  • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future products by reviewing product backlogs, specifications, and requirements.
  • Aid in determining cost model and forecasting volume.
  • Review service level performance for the product and outline a service improvement plan where necessary.
  • Outline operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of ServiceNow product knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly proficient presentation skills, including the use of PowerPoint.
  • A working knowledge of Agile Development/Extreme programming methods.

Supervision Responsibilities:

Works across the ServiceNow-oriented Agile delivery team.

Education:

College degree in a related technology field or comparable job experience.

Experience:

Approximately 3 to 5 years of experience in a product manager or service owner role, ITIL Service Manager certification or equivalent work experience a plus, 5+ years of ServiceNow development experience an advantage.
