As an AR Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process and ensuring timely payment from patients and insurance companies.
Key Responsibilities:- Average Accounts Receivable Balance Management: Analyze and resolve outstanding accounts receivable balances in a timely manner to minimize delinquency levels.
- Billing Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and resolve discrepancies in patient billing statements and insurance claims.
- Collections Process Improvement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize the collections process, reducing days sales outstanding (DSO) and improving cash flow.
- Communications with Patients and Insurance Companies: Effectively communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve payment issues and negotiate settlements when necessary.
- AR Collections Experience: Proven experience as an AR Collections Specialist or similar role in the healthcare industry.
- Athena Health EMR System Proficiency: Strong proficiency in using Athena Health EMR system to track and manage accounts receivable activities.
- Medical Billing Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical billing and insurance claims processes, including compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders.
