About this role.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Marketplace Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing account strategies that drive growth and revenue.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of e-commerce marketplace dynamics, with proven experience in driving sales and growth in a multi-channel or online marketplace environment.
You will be working closely with internal teams, including product, operations, finance, and marketing, to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and projects.
A successful candidate will have excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills, as well as a strong analytical mindset and ability to think strategically.
The role requires flexibility to work across different time zones, including the US time zone, to meet client needs and ensure business goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive account strategies to drive sales and growth in assigned marketplaces
- Conceptualize and lead tailored marketing campaigns in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
- Align buying strategies with campaign planning to ensure business goals are achieved
- Conduct post-campaign analysis to identify missed opportunities and develop action plans for future performance improvements
- Integrate campaign insights into strategic account planning to maximize sales and profitability
- Perform competitive audits across partners with low conversion to refine pricing strategies and improve performance
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing models, and promotional tactics to adapt effectively and maintain market edge
- Identify high-performing and underperforming SKUs to optimize product assortment and positioning
- Utilize data analytics tools to monitor item visibility and enhance product presence across various marketplace platforms
- Continuously optimize listings, keywords, and content to drive discoverability and improve conversion
- Lead and oversee multiple marketplace-related initiatives, ensuring timelines, resources, and departmental collaboration are managed effectively
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute high-impact projects and align with business goals
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, E-commerce, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- +5 years of experience in e-commerce, account management, or marketplace strategy
- Proven track record of driving sales and growth in a multi-channel or online marketplace environment
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Analytics, Power BI, and marketplace reporting tools
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, operations, finance, and marketing teams
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Exceptional communication skills in English—both written and verbal—with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and professionally
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams and functions
