**Medical Scribe Role Overview**
This position offers a unique opportunity to support healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately document patient information directly into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) during or immediately after visits.
- Prepare and edit patient notes, visit summaries, progress reports, and letters to referring physicians.
- Assist with billing and insurance support by entering or verifying coding-related details and resolving documentation gaps that impact billing.
- Perform accuracy checks for patient identifiers, visit details, and plan of care before submission.
- Communicate clearly with U.S.-based providers and administrative teams during working hours.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a medical scribe, medical virtual assistant, or healthcare documentation specialist.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Typing speed of at least 45 WPM with high accuracy.
- Working knowledge of basic medical terminology (healthcare/clinical context).
- Proficiency with EHR documentation and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), with strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
Work Setup & Hours
- Remote work arrangement.
- Must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
- Required to provide own computer with Intel Core i5 or equivalent specifications.
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 11:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
