Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for analyzing and documenting clinical requirements using best practices.

Main Responsibilities
  • Analyze and document clinical requirements using evidence-based guidelines.
  • Validate clinical requirements with subject matter experts to ensure accurate coding interpretations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate rule/policy behavior and confirm solution requirements meet business expectations.
  • Document content requirements to promote seamless post-release content maintenance handoffs.
  • Contribute to user documentation and assist with end-user training activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in health information management, nursing, or other healthcare-related field.
  • AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or AHIMA CCS-P or CCS certification required.
  • 5+ years of relevant healthcare experience, with at least 2 years as a payment/reimbursement or medical policy analyst, medical coder, medical claims processor, chart reviewer/auditor, or clinical editing analyst.
