Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled financial professional to oversee and manage our company's financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

This role will appeal to a well-versed and experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant who is looking to further their career in a well-established and rapidly growing business.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial stability and supporting decision-making by providing accurate financial data to management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processing, rent roll/property accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements and cash flow forecasts.
  • Perform regular reconciliation of company bank accounts and credit cards.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring they are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
  • Evaluate and improve existing financial processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide financial insights to management to help with business decisions, cost control, and profitability.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years of experience) as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in MYOB - A MUST.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude.
