Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned professional to guide process improvements, automations, system integrations, and system administration with a focus on enhancing financial operations.

This role requires a strong understanding of financial processes as well as the ability to leverage technology to drive efficiency and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Finance and Payroll/Payment team members to identify and implement improvements to business processes, leveraging technology for increased efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Enterprise Applications team to ensure changes align with overall business objectives and technology strategies.
  • Assist in the maintenance, configuration, and optimization of SaaS technologies, including Sage Intacct and Workday, to support financial operations.
  • Prepare documentation to ensure stakeholders understand changes, systems, and processes related to financial technology.
  • Project manage change initiatives to ensure optimal results and thorough understanding of work being undertaken.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to financial systems and implement solutions, including systemic changes to prevent recurrence.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience administering and/or implementing SaaS technologies, particularly Sage Intacct and/or Workday.
  • Significant financial technical consulting experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of core financial processes.
  • Experience operating in a consultative role to understand and meet the needs of multiple stakeholders within finance.
  • Basic knowledge of APIs, JSON, and systems integration principles.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies and how they might be applied to finance.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with out-of-the-box thinking to leverage flexible systems and processes.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate with and influence cross-functional stakeholders and work collaboratively.
  • High emotional intelligence and sense of humor.
