Job Overview

The Senior Portfolio Optimization Specialist is responsible for driving asset value enhancement and operational excellence across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties.

This role leverages data-driven insights, strategic planning, and financial acumen to optimize asset performance, bolster leasing efforts, foster strong relationships with tenants and property managers, and ensure sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide asset management support and financial analysis, including preparation of annual business plans, quarterly valuation models, leasing analyses, ongoing monitoring, and reporting of investment performance.
  • Evaluate portfolio composition on an ongoing basis and provide necessary support and direction during all phases of the asset lifecycle from acquisition through development, leasing, asset management, and possible disposition.
  • Analysis of ongoing portfolio risk and cash flow requirements, drafting lease documents and amendments, and directing property managers towards optimizing portfolio assets.
  • Preparation of monthly reporting materials, assisting with management of portfolio insurance, engagement with contractors and vendors, and creating processes and KPIs for the team.
Ideal Qualifications:
  • Substantial background in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics.
  • Fluent in commercial real estate terminology and structures.
  • Extensive experience reviewing LOIs, drafting leases and amendments, working with brokers, contractors, and property managers, and providing underwriting and financial modeling skills.
  • Understanding of the full real estate capital stack with exposure to complex transactions of varying types and asset classes, and ability to identify and mitigate risk.
