Job Overview:

This role is responsible for overseeing the development and managing a team of engineers.

You will play a key part in driving technical excellence and building strong connections across our global team.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in engineering management or team leadership, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of engineers, including recruitment and onboarding.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of features within the assigned product area.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and the Agile Delivery Manager.
  • Implement and maintain Scrum methodology with 2-week sprints.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones and team meetings.
  • Participate in bi-weekly Stakeholder Demos.
  • Manage technical debt and refactoring efforts.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in engineering management or team leadership.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to mentor and develop engineering talent.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and containerisation (Kubernetes).

  • Timezone flexibility: Must be comfortable working with some overlap with UK business hours to collaborate effectively with the majority of the team.
  • Language: Must be fluent in English (written and spoken) to collaborate with our global team.
