About the Role:

You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and analysis of overhead electrical infrastructure to ensure the accuracy and reliability of utility asset datasets. Your role will involve identifying potential hazards, providing real-time data to utility companies, and contributing to improving utility service reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed inspections and catalog utility assets with high accuracy.
  • Identify electrical equipment issues and potential hazards, providing real-time data to utility companies.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining utility asset datasets to support operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with industry standards.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to support safe and efficient project execution.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skill development.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in the electric utility field (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with good written and oral communication abilities.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), national engineering standards, utility construction standards, and best industry engineering practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and flexibility to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work remotely and coordinate effectively with a distributed workforce.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies within the utility sector.

Tools/Technical Environment:

  • GIS software for utility asset mapping and analysis.
  • Data management tools for cataloging and reporting.
  • Communication platforms for collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Industry-standard reference materials, including NESC and engineering guidelines.
