About the Role:

This role involves inspecting and analyzing overhead electrical infrastructure to ensure accuracy and reliability of utility asset datasets.

You will assist in cataloging utility assets, identifying potential faults and hazards, and contributing to overall improvement of utility services and reliability.

  • Analyze and catalog overhead utility assets for consistent data collection
  • Identify and document electrical utility equipment, faults, and potential hazards
  • Develop and maintain utility asset datasets for operational improvements
  • Work with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with industry standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support project execution
  • Stay updated on industry standards and regulations
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge

Key Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience as a lineman in the electric utility field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient computer skills with good written and oral communication abilities
  • Nice-to-have: Working knowledge of NESC, national engineering standards, utility construction standards
  • Excellent organizational skills and flexibility to manage tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to work remotely and coordinate with a distributed workforce

Technical Environment:

  • GIS software for utility asset mapping and analysis
  • Data management tools for cataloging and reporting
