Marketplace Operations Specialist

The role of the Marketplace Operations Specialist involves tracking, optimizing, and managing product listings on a major retail platform during its initial launch phase.

As an expert in this area, you will ensure that each product listing is fully optimized for visibility and sales. This includes following all product launch tactics, tracking initial sales and performance metrics, and providing guidance on pricing, promotions, paid advertising, and listing optimization adjustments during the launch phase.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage listings to prevent health issues from arising and address any that do occur effectively.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the root causes of listing health issues and implement efficient relisting procedures.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to acquire approved creative content, including high-quality listing photos, enhanced brand content, brand stories, video content, and storefronts.
  • Troubleshoot issues encountered when publishing creative content and communicate effectively among involved parties.
  • Manage timelines for seasonal content.
Catalog Management:
  • Oversee the management of the product catalog on these marketplaces.
  • Collaborate with Channel Managers to update product attributes, categories, and create variations.
  • Ensure that all product information is accurate and current, with correct categorization for optimal search and browsing.
  • Create product variations to enhance the shopping experience.
Listing Troubleshooting:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize listings and pricing.
  • Handle listing issues, including suppressed listings and content errors.
  • Ensure compliance with platform policies and guidelines, optimizing for visibility and mitigating risks.
Project Management:
  • Utilize project management tools to prioritize tasks and update progress.
Account Audit:
  • Perform regular audits to ensure listings are active and accurate, monitor account health, and resolve issues.

Qualifications include 3+ years of experience working with Amazon, Target, or similar platforms, high organizational skills, experience with project management tools, and proficiency in Excel.
