Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled financial professional to maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and ensure the accuracy of financial information.

This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, including handling complex financial tasks, managing bank and credit card reconciliations, and preparing financial statements such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records, general ledger entries, reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable
  • Manage bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, assist in creating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders
  • Assist in tax return preparation by organizing financial data and preparing documentation for external accountants
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws, filing necessary forms
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations
  • Accounts Management: Oversee accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely billing and collections
  • Monitor and manage payroll, expense reimbursements, and other financial obligations
  • Auditing and Internal Controls: Assist in auditing processes by providing accurate financial data and supporting documents
  • Provide analysis and insights to management regarding financial performance and areas for improvement
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the preparation of company budgets, forecasts, and financial plans

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting, preferably in a senior or accountant-level role. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP is required. A strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant financial regulations is also essential.

Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a remote team. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills.
