Job Title: Healthcare Information Specialist

The role of a Medical Document Retrieval Specialist is vital in the healthcare sector. Their key responsibility is to ensure that all medical records are accurately and efficiently retrieved for clients.

  • They conduct thorough research to identify relevant healthcare providers associated with a client's treatment, beyond the main facility listed by the law firm.
  • This specialist uses various tools such as Chartswap, prior request history, and direct provider calls to locate billing providers and related entities.
  • Accurate input of identified providers into the admin application is crucial for downstream processing.

To excel in this position, one must possess exceptional attention to detail, technical skills in Adobe Acrobat and PDF editing/combining tools, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provider Research & Identification: Determine all relevant healthcare providers, locate billing providers, and input identified providers into the admin application.
  • Request Creation & Quality Control: Review and correct incoming Release of Information (ROI) forms, create accurate reports, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
