Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Manager to oversee the financial operations of our organization. This key role involves managing payroll, superannuation, and ensuring timely settlement of tax liabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial operations and ensure compliance with Australian regulations.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on payments, and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Track spending, adhere to budgets, investigate transactions, and oversee cash flow and liabilities.
  • Provide transaction data to bookkeepers, ensure account reconciliation, and respond to financial inquiries.
  • Prepare financial reports for stakeholders, assist auditors, and provide financial insights for strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification; post-graduate qualifications are highly regarded.
  • 5+ years in a senior financial role, preferably in non-profit or community organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian financial regulations, including ASIC and ACNC frameworks.
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and policy development.
  • Proficiency in Xero, MS Excel/Google Sheets, and ideally Salesforce.
  • Leadership skills, results-driven, and team-building abilities.
  • High ethics and integrity, committed to the organization's mission.
  • Reliable, accountable, and capable of meeting deadlines in remote work settings.
