Job Opportunity: WordPress Development Lead

We are seeking an experienced WordPress Development Lead to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will oversee the entire development process, from planning and design to implementation and deployment.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to a high standard. You will also act as the main point of contact between the development team, management, and clients, ensuring clear communication and consistent updates on progress.

  • The successful candidate will have 5+ years hands-on experience as a WordPress developer using custom built themes, including multisite configuration, custom themes, plugins, ACF, and Gutenberg editor.
  • They will also have 3+ years work experience leading a development team and have worked on at least 5 WordPress websites in the past.
  • A strong understanding of WordPress security best practices and performance optimization techniques is essential.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies including SASS, CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, jQuery and backend developments such as WordPress, PHP, MySQL, API integrations, JSON, and XML is required.
  • The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, AlpineJS, and Vue, as well as experience with Webflow, Sketch and Invision.
  • Other tools and platforms such as WooCommerce, Shopify, Pardot, and Hubspot are also desirable.

This is a remote (work from home) job opportunity that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will be able to document and create user guides for various websites using an existing template/format and have demonstrated experience in conducting website performance tests, monitoring metrics, and implementing optimizations.
