Working closely with subject matter experts, this individual will be responsible for developing compelling course content that meets the business needs of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify required learning outcomes and target learner populations.
  2. Determine the most suitable delivery mechanisms (e-learning, virtual classroom, face-to-face, etc.) to ensure maximum impact.
  3. Set instructional goals and develop content that aligns with these objectives.
  4. For e-learning, visualize instructional graphics, the user interface, and the finished product to enhance the learning experience.
  5. Design learner interactivity (exercises, activities, etc.) to reinforce learning and improve retention.
  6. Create supporting materials/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.) to cater to different learning styles.
  7. Develop assessment methods (tests or quizzes) to measure the effectiveness of courses and evaluate learner outcomes.
  8. Identify outdated or low-quality learning content and propose improvements or replacements.
  9. Maintain project documentation, version control, and course folders to ensure seamless implementation.

Qualifications:

  1. PREFERRED but not necessary: Some college coursework or an associate degree in any field; certification in instructional design.
  2. Proficiency in multiple web design technologies (HTML) and multimedia formats (jpg, MP4, MP3); technical expertise in Learning Management Systems and e-Learning Content authoring tools.
  3. Visual design skills (e.g., Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  4. Ability to write clear and concise copy, instructional text, audio, and video scripts.
  5. Significant working experience in instructional design.
  6. International work experience in multicultural environments.
  7. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and e-learning platforms.
  8. Basic understanding of project management principles.
  9. Excellent communication skills.
  10. A solid understanding of learner needs within an organization and partnership skills - ability to collaborate with SMEs and Talent-Learning Leaders to co-create learning solutions that meet business needs and foster a culture of learning.
