Job Title: Rent Collector

We are seeking a highly skilled Rent Collector to join our team. This individual will be responsible for rent collection and ensuring timely payments from tenants.

This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with tenants and management.

Responsibilities:
  • Rent Collection: Initiate and follow up on rent payment reminders to ensure tenants are aware of their payment due dates.
  • Communication: Engage with tenants via phone, email, or messaging platforms to discuss payment issues, establish payment plans, and provide assistance when needed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all rent payments, payment plans, and communication logs in our property management system.
  • Dispute Resolution: Collaborate with tenants to resolve disputes or questions related to rent payments or leases.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to management regarding outstanding payments, collection efforts, and tenant interactions.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all collection processes adhere to legal requirements and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in rent collection, property management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively.
  • Proficiency in property management software or databases is a plus.
  • Able to maintain professionalism and empathy when dealing with tenants.
  • Knowledge of rental laws and regulations in the applicable market.
