Business Systems Officer Job Description

Overview

The ideal candidate will analyze, design, develop, deploy, and maintain business systems within functional areas to align with organizational goals. They will drive process improvements, ensure system integration, and provide technical expertise across various enterprise applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Business Systems Analysts: Provide guidance, set expectations, assign tasks, monitor progress, foster skill development, and facilitate cross-department collaboration for successful system implementations and process improvements.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with the Business Systems Manager to plan, implement, and manage IT projects efficiently, ensuring timely completion and smooth communication between stakeholders.
  • System Development and Deployment: Conduct complete business analysis, including requirements gathering/analysis, documenting specs, describing current conditions, identifying alternatives, performing risk analysis, defining project scope, and obtaining management approval for project activities.
  • System Maintenance and Support: Maintain software applications by troubleshooting problems, tracking requests for changes and system problems, prioritizing changes, and implementing required changes to ensure system updates and availability.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Interact with clients and ISD team members to analyze business problems, identify potential solutions, and act as an internal IT consultant to pinpoint areas for process improvement or automation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Math/Physics/Computer Engineering or any related field.
  • 3-5 years programming experience, 3-5 years systems analysis/design experience, 2-3 years project management experience.
  • SAP Business ONE.
