Data Center Operations Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Manager to join our team at IQ-EQ. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our virtualized infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize virtualized environments using VMware vSphere.
  • Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and availability of virtualized resources.
  • Configure and manage VMware clusters, resource pools, and virtual networking.
  • Oversee backup and restoration processes for VMs using tools like Veeam or Commvault.
  • Apply and enforce security policies and patches across the virtualized infrastructure.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with network, storage, and application teams to ensure seamless integration.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 4-5 years of hands-on experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) and related VMware products.
  • Expertise in configuring and managing virtual networking (vSwitches, Distributed Switches) and storage (vSAN, NFS, iSCSI).
  • Strong understanding of server hardware and VMware environment compatibility.
  • Experience with VMware High Availability (HA) and Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS).
  • Proficiency in PowerCLI, PowerShell, or other scripting languages for VMware automation.
  • Familiarity with vRealize Suite (vRealize Automation, vRealize Operations).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
