Job Summary

Main Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning & Reporting: Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the Asia region, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Oversee the development and implementation of effective internal controls, ensuring compliance with IFRS, regional accounting standards, and company guidelines.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution of financial close and reporting processes.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, implementing changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Partner with regional teams, including tax, legal, and treasury, to ensure smooth financial operations across Asia.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity. Experience in multinational companies is preferred.
  • Strong expertise in IFRS accounting principles, with practical knowledge of IFRS 17 being a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, Sun Systems, or similar ERP/accounting software.
  • Understanding of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive mindset and a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in financial reporting for large, complex organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of new accounting standards and their regional impacts.
  • Familiarity with IFRS 17 and its implementation.
