Job Overview

About the Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced Utility Team Lead to manage and mentor a team of Utility Engineers, ensuring high-quality inspections, data accuracy, and process improvements within the electric utility sector.
  • You will oversee the cataloging of utility assets, identify equipment issues and potential hazards, and collaborate with utility companies to meet project goals and deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Utility Engineers, ensuring high-quality inspections and data accuracy.
  • Catalog utility assets and identify equipment issues or hazards.
  • Ensure quality control of work packages and compliance with project standards.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with utility companies to ensure project goals and deliverables are met.
  • Work closely with internal teams to align data accuracy with industry standards.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skill development.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the electric utility field.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills with good written and oral communication abilities.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), national engineering standards, utility construction standards, and best industry engineering practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work remotely and coordinate effectively with a distributed workforce.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies within the utility sector.
