What We're Looking For:

A skilled Geospatial Data Specialist to join our team in supporting our Customer Operations division. This role offers the opportunity to work with a leading SaaS technology platform serving the global network construction industry.

This position is ideal for a mid-level software developer who thrives on solving real-world problems and creating solutions that drive operational efficiency.

You will design, build, and maintain internal tools and automation systems that streamline workflows for our operations teams and enhance the customer experience.

This role will focus on developing custom scripts and applications to process geospatial data, automate transformation tasks, and manage data pipelines into our databases.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and rapidly deliver impactful tools and solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • You will design, develop, and maintain internal tools and scripts using Python to support operations workflows.
  • You will develop and optimize ETL processes for spatial data into relational databases such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
  • You will automate data transformation and processing pipelines to improve efficiency and maintainability.
  • You will collaborate with operations and product teams to identify opportunities for tool development and automation.
  • You will troubleshoot and support internal tools and workflows in both production and development environments.
  • You will ensure code quality through version control, testing, code reviews, and comprehensive documentation.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant engineering field.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Python development.
  • Bring hands-on experience with geospatial tools such as QGIS, PyQGIS, or GIS libraries like GDAL/OGR, Shapely, or GeoPandas.
  • Have demonstrated experience in scripting and automating data processing tasks.
  • Be proficient in SQL and relational databases, with a preference for PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
