Cloud Platform Engineer Job Description

This is a senior engineer position in our cloud team, where you will design and build scalable cloud services powering AI and cloud applications.

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing the technical architecture of cloud data platforms, implementing and integrating data platform components, and building and operating CI/CD systems and infrastructure as code.

  • Design Technical Architecture: Collaborate with the team to design technical architecture for cloud data platforms services (data ingestion, processing, storage, query, visualization, security, governance).
  • Implement Data Platform Components: Implement and integrate data platform components: Kafka, NiFi, Airflow, Spark, Flink, Iceberg, Trino, Superset, dbt…
  • Build CI/CD Systems: Build and operate CI/CD systems and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD…).
Required Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 3–5 years of experience in dataops, devops, platform engineer, or data engineer roles.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture.
  • Hands-on experience deploying or operating at least some data platform services (e.g., Kafka, Airflow, Spark).
  • Strong scripting skills (Python or Bash).
  • Experience with CI/CD and GitOps (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD).
