Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical design and cost estimation of mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for various projects.

About the Role:
  • Develop detailed designs and drawings for mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems;
  • Conduct analyses to ensure designs are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with industry standards;
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, including materials, labor, and equipment;
  • Site inspections to assess MPF requirements and ensure installations comply with safety standards;
  • Review and negotiate contracts, monitor contractual obligations and resolve disputes or changes in scope;
  • Project budget monitoring: track project progress, ensuring adherence to performance, budgets and schedules related to MPF;
  • Value engineering exercises to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and performance;
  • Maintain design documentation, including drawings and calculations;
Responsibilities:
  • Design and Drafting: Develop detailed designs and drawings for mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems;

  • Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, including materials, labor, and equipment;
  • Site Inspections: Conduct site visits to assess MPF requirements and ensure installations comply with safety standards;
  • Contract Management: Review and negotiate contracts, monitor contractual obligations and resolve disputes or changes in scope;
  • Project Budget Monitoring: Track project progress, ensuring adherence to performance, budgets and schedules related to MPF;
  • Value Engineering: Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and performance;
  • Documentation: Maintain design documentation, including drawings and calculations;
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2-5 years experience in MEPFS costing;
  • Ability to recognize contractual obligations of both company and its subcontractors;
  • Good knowledge in detailed shop drawing, coordination drawings;
  • Able to act on own initiative and be proactive;
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Graduate of Mechanical Engineering;
