As a remote work opportunity, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere, within your preferred timezone (EST, PST, CST).

We're looking for an experienced Content Editor to join our team and help us drive results through exceptional writing and editing skills. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of SEO principles, AP style guidelines, and a passion for language.

The role involves:

  • Enhancing AI-generated blog posts for clarity, coherence, tone, and factual accuracy.
  • Integrating relevant reference links and anchor text to improve SEO performance and user experience.
  • Ensuring all client-specific discussions, branding, and messaging are consistently represented.
  • Selecting and inserting appropriate images, including writing effective alt text.
  • Conducting thorough proofreading to eliminate grammatical errors, typos, and punctuation mistakes.
  • Maintaining a high standard of content quality, adhering to project guidelines and client expectations.
  • Working efficiently to edit 3-4 articles per hour while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Requirements:

  • Proven editorial background with extensive experience in editing and proofreading various types of content.
  • AP style proficiency, with a strong understanding and application of Associated Press style guidelines.
  • Familiarity with basic SEO principles, including keyword integration, linking strategies, and on-page optimization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a meticulous eye for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and factual accuracy.
  • Strong language skills, with a genuine passion for language and natural wordsmithing ability.
  • Proficiency with Grammarly and other writing tools.
  • Ability to work quickly and effectively, with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset and strong collaboration skills.
