Fire Protection Specialist

A dynamic and experienced Fire Protection Specialist is sought to join our team in a full-time capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and estimating fire protection systems for various commercial and residential projects, primarily in New York City.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP software. Additionally, they will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong time management skills.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients and internal teams, collaborating on project designs, estimates, and system layouts. Strong knowledge of New York City Building Codes and applicable standards (NFPA, etc.) is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and estimate fire sprinkler system installations using AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP software.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and take-offs using Planswift and Excel.
  • Develop system layouts and hydraulic calculations using Fire Elite or equivalent software.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients remotely.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Planswift, Excel, and Fire Elite.
  • Strong familiarity with New York City Building Codes and applicable standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
