Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our organization in Canada.

The ideal candidate will have experience with financial statement production, analysis, and budgeting.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for building, updating, and improving divisional and corporate forecasts and regular reports. They will also create ad-hoc reports, analysis, and recommendations for finance and management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial reports and dashboards.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve forecasting accuracy and enhance unit economics.
  • Build relationships with business leaders and support forecasting across the organization.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce, or related field.
  • 2+ years of financial reporting experience or business analysis experience.
  • Experience with financial statement production and/or analysis.
  • Knowledge of accounting data hierarchies and structure.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to understand financial implications of key decisions.
  • Strong communication skills in written, spoken, and visualization mediums.
  • Experience working with technical teams.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
Nice to Have:
  • Working toward or having completed a financial designation (CPA, CFA, etc.) is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with budgeting & reporting software is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of the inner workings of the payments ecosystem is considered an asset.
