About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Professional to join our team in managing the billing and collections process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update customer records, including contact changes, mergers, and billing information. This involves ensuring accurate and up-to-date customer data is recorded and processed efficiently.
  • Draft and send collection correspondence for past-due accounts and initiate follow-up with delinquent customers to resolve payment discrepancies and maintain positive relationships.
  • Identify and monitor overdue accounts, generate aging reports, and support collection strategies to minimize outstanding balances and optimize cash flow.
  • Research customer payment discrepancies and resolve billing issues in collaboration with the AR Manager and Customer Service team to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Work closely with the Staff Accountant to reconcile AR accounts at least twice monthly to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports on account status as requested by management to provide timely and actionable insights.
  • Ensure accurate filing, documentation, and retrieval of AR-related materials to maintain a well-organized and efficient workflow.
  • Communicate account changes and payment updates to internal stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related accounting functions, preferably with exposure to ERP/accounting systems like NetSuite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiar with AR reporting tools and financial software.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and laws, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with a professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills.
