Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Takeoff Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:
  • This is a key position that involves reviewing electrical plans, specifications, and addenda to understand project scope and requirements.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to perform detailed electrical quantity takeoffs for devices, wiring, conduits, panels, switchgear, lighting, and other systems.
  • Digital takeoff tools will be used to measure and quantify materials, and the specialist will prepare organized takeoff sheets and data for the estimating team.
  • Candidates with experience in electrical estimating, takeoffs, or drafting will be given preference.
Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze electrical plans and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct thorough electrical quantity takeoffs to determine material requirements.
  • Use digital takeoff software to measure and quantify materials, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Prepare comprehensive takeoff sheets and data for the estimating team.
  • Collaborate with senior estimators to clarify project scope and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Ensure high accuracy in all takeoff outputs and meet deadlines as required.
Qualifications:
  • Possession of a valid Electrical Engineer's license is essential.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical estimating, takeoffs, or drafting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, one-line diagrams, and panel schedules.
  • Experience with digital takeoff software is an added advantage.
